I started a significant part of my tech career as an ICT Support Technician at the Giftland Mall, a local mall in my city. Then was later promoted to ICT Network Technician. I learned how to keep systems running, troubleshoot, and fix computer and common network issues, and understand how everything connects in the real world.
Later, I participated in a NeXusHub Paid Apprenticeship Program which led me to the opportunity of joining V75 Inc. as a Technology Developer. Here, I entered actual software development, focusing on AI, through a partnership with Clinc (no longer operational), as an AI Competency Engineer. I learned how to build conversational AI experiences with my teammates and worked on small but meaningful machine learning side projects.
One of those projects was PhotoMug — an AI-based image matching tool I prototyped in a couple of days. On the surface, it looked like a simple image search engine, but under the hood, it used vector models to detect similarities across images and group them by relevance. It was part of V75’s Pet Projects program, where engineers, interns, and apprentices experiment, learn, and stretch their skills with real tech. You can find it here on GitHub...
From 2022 to present, I joined ConfigCat as a Frontend Developer and Content Writer, working on frontend features and writing blog articles that help developers understand and use our tools more effectively.
As of today, I'm still learning — picking up new technologies weekly through books and online courses. Outside of work, I like to build websites, contribute to open-source, read, and spend time with friends and family.
